You already work for pay, as an employee or self-employed, but want to make your motherhood visible as what it is: a professional asset.

THE MOWOM JOURNEY

1

Recognize yourself

The first step is yours and yours alone.

Before anyone else recognizes it, you have to recognize it yourself: mothering is work. Changing the language you use with yourself is the foundation of everything else. Stop saying "I don't work." Stop apologizing. Understand that these years haven't been a pause—they've been a stage of work, of contribution to society, and of growth.

Because you can't ask society to value what you haven't yet recognized in yourself.

2

Make it visible

Put it where it belongs: in your CV and on LinkedIn.

Adding "Mother at mowom" to your profile is a professional act and a political act. You don't need a gap in your CV to do it. You don't need to be looking for a job. All mothers are welcome: those returning to work, those already working, those who still don't know what they want to do.

And if you take this step without needing it for your career, you're doing something bigger: every mother who makes it visible makes it easier for the next one to dare.

We know it's not always easy. That the fear of how you'll be seen can feel stronger than the desire. That's why you're not alone in this step.

3

Join the community

When you add "Mother at mowom" to your LinkedIn, you're already part of our community.

If you want, soon you´ll be able to access the private LinkedIn group, where you'll find other mowom mothers, exclusive conversations on topics beyond job searching, and a space where your journey needs no explanation.

For now, the group is available in Spanish.

THEY'VE ALREADY TAKEN THE STEP

Why not make visible one of the most valuable life experiences and learnings of our lives? Why not make visible the living projects we have created and continue to sustain for a lifetime? Who wants to work somewhere they reject such an important part of who you are as being a mother? We deserve a workplace where we are respected and valued — us, our families, and our human needs.
