MOTHER´S WORK MATTERS
Parenting is work.
Time spent raising a child is not a break or a pause—it’s a period of growth and development.
What is mowom?
mowom mowom is a fictional company created to help mothers include their caregiving experience in their CVs and LinkedIn profiles—just like any other job.
Our aim is to make it possible for every mother to return to the workforce on her own terms—without penalty and with the recognition she deserves.
How to get involved
Raising children develops key skills that bring value to companies.

PERSONAL
SELF-CONFIDENCE · DISCIPLINE · FLEXIBILITY · CURIOSITY

SOCIAL
TEAMWORK · COMMUNICATION · EMPATHY · ASSERTIVENESS

PROFESSIONAL
ORGANIZATION · INITIATIVE · LEADERSHIP · PROBLEM-SOLVING · ADAPTABILITY
If you’re a mother, ask yourself:
-
Have you noticed all the skills you’ve developed through parenting?
-
Why not acknowledge as work what requires organization, decision-making, and leadership?
-
What if, instead of seeing a gap in your CV, you recognized it as a phase of growth?
If you’re a recruiter, ask yourself:
-
Do you value leadership, organization, and problem-solving in candidates?
-
Do you look for people with adaptability and crisis-management skills?
-
Then why ignore parenting experience on a CV?

Hello! I'm Raquel
I’m an industrial engineer, and I worked in the automotive sector—until my job clashed with my values. After two years dedicated to motherhood, I realized that this "gap" in my CV wasn’t empty. It was full of learning, growth, and real work.
In 2020, I created mowom as a fictional company on LinkedIn to make caregiving visible and recognized as professional experience. I did it for my own CV, but also to help other mothers do the same.
